Amazon.com reportedly plans to launch a marketplace for local service providers, ranging from babysitters to handymen, but online incumbents in the market largely shrugged off the news. Amazon (AMZN) plans to launch the local-services marketplace later this year, starting with a single market, Reuters reported Wednesday. Amazon looks to test demand and logistics before rolling out nationwide, the news service said.
