Amazon.com (AMZN) said Thursday that third-party sellers at its Marketplace unit had a record-setting 2013, selling more than 1 billion items worldwide worth “tens of billions of dollars.” The Seattle-based company also said the number of Marketplace sellers using its Fullfillment by Amazon, or FBA, service surged 65% in the year.
