BlackBerry (BBRY) said it would acquire security software maker Good Technology for $425 million in cash, moving further into the mobile device management market. Canada-based BlackBerry targeted mobile software after its smartphone business collapsed amid stiff competition with Apple (AAPL) and Samsung.
