EBay (EBAY) said Monday that it is developing an online platform with global auctioneer Sotheby’s (BID) that, among other things, will let bidders participate in live auctions for art, antiques and other collectibles that are taking place at Sotheby’s headquarters in New York. The partnership combines Sotheby’s expertise in artwork and collectibles with eBay’s technology and payments platform. Under the deal, eBay will launch a new online feature Scalper1 News
