VF, Under Armour Seeing Strong Top-Line Growth

While consumer spending has been up and down this year, a number of apparel manufacturers are seeing strong demand for sports and outdoor clothing. VF (VFC) in late July reported an 11% rise in Q2 earnings to 40 cents a share, the fifth period of double-digit growth in the past six quarters. Overall sales grew 5% to more than $2.51 billion.
