Verizon Wireless Margin, Revenue Hit By Price War

Verizon Communications (VZ) early Thursday reported in-line Q4 EPS amid lower Wall Street expectations, and revenue topped estimates. Excluding items, Verizon said it earned 71 cents per share, up 7.6% from a year earlier. Revenue rose 6.8% to $33.2 billion from the year-earlier period, the company said. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters had estimated EPS of 71 cents and $32.69 billion in revenue. Consensus estimates have been heading south for Scalper1 News
