Trina Solar Adds Factory Capacity Amid Robust Demand

Trina Solar (TSL) early Thursday reported better-than-expected Q1 earnings and revenue, as shipments of solar modules nearly doubled from the year-earlier quarter. The China-based maker of solar modules reported earnings per share excluding items of 16 cents, down 57% year over year. Revenue grew 25.5% to $558.1 million.
