JA Solar Q4 Revenue Soars, But EPS Misses

JA Solar Holdings (JASO) early Thursday reported a surge in Q4 revenue that beat Wall Street expectations, with sales of higher-priced solar modules particularly strong in China. The Chinese solar-panel maker said revenue jumped 65% year over year to $576 million. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected $539 million. But earnings per share excluding items missed at 28 cents, up 87%. Analysts had expected 32 cents. JA Solar stock was up 2% in Scalper1 News
