Shares of electric carmaker Tesla (TSLA) rose 6% to a nearly five-month high, closing at 23.54 Monday, after Deutsche Bank wrote that there might be an upside surprise in this Thursday’s new product announcement. Tesla said last week that it would unveil a home battery and utility-scale battery to help store solar power during sunless periods, which the company is already testing with solar-power installer SolarCity (SCTY) .
