Apple-Comcast streaming deal seems far-fetched

Now playing on the future of Apple TV: reruns. Once again Apple is reportedly discussing a streaming video service with a major media company. And the outcome this time is no less uncertain. On Sunday, the Wall Street Journal reported that Apple is in talks with Comcast (CMCSA) about teaming up for a streaming video service. It would use Apple’s set-top box, Apple TV, and get special treatment on Comcast’s network to ensure it bypasses congestion on the Web, the newspaper reported, citing unnamed sources.
