Google Seen Readying ‘Viewable’ Online Ad Strategy

Google (GOOG) aims to shake up online advertising by charging its customers only for ads that are “viewable,” reported the Financial Times. Google would be the first major online ad network to do so, says the FT. While Google has developed technology to determine if an ad is viewable on a Web page amid browsing, it cannot track whether Web users actually look at it, the FT said.
