Google Voice Search Expands To U.K., France, Germany

If you’re inclined to ask your smartphone questions, now you can do so in French and German. Google (GOOG) on Friday said it’s launched its Google Voice voice-recognition software in Germany, France and the U.K., with language support for French and German. Google representatives have been touring those countries in recent weeks to demonstrate the voice-search technology. The app is similar to Apple’s (AAPL) Siri digital assistant.
