First Solar was the lowest bidder on two solar power projects in India, it has kicked off a 141-megawatt solar plant in Chile, and it has sold a 150 MW power plant in Imperial County, Calif. The Tempe, Ariz.-based solar panel maker and developer submitted the lowest bid for 40 MW of solar installations spread over two districts in Andhra Pradesh, India, according to the Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh.
