Video: Verizon, SunPower Ink Deal For New Solar Sites

Wireless carrier Verizon Communications (VZ) said Monday it will spend nearly $40 million to build 10.2 megawatts of new solar energy systems at eight of its sites in five states. New York-based Verizon said it had contracted with San Jose, Calif.-based solar developer SunPower (SPWR) to design and install the systems, for rooftop and ground-mounted solar-power systems in California, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York.
