Cyber Monday Online Sales Outpace Season Projections

Cyber cash registers are ringing often in the early days of the holiday shopping season. U.S. online sales were on track for nearly 20% growth on Cyber Monday — the first full workday after Thanksgiving and always one of the biggest online shopping days. As of 3 p.m. ET, online sales for Monday were up 18.7% vs. the year-earlier span, according to a unit of IBM (IBM). The growth is outpacing projections.
