Comcast Invests In BuzzFeed, Readies A YouTube Rival

Cable TV firm Comcast’s (CMCSA) Internet content spree continued with a $200 million investment in online video specialist BuzzFeed. Comcast’s investment, through its NBCUniversal unit, is a bit smaller than earlier reports suggested. But Comcast last week also invested $200 million in Vox Media, which owns tech news website Re/code as well as sports, politics, food and fashion sites.
