Annual worldwide smartphone unit sales growth is expected to decelerate to 12.9% in 2016, Nomura Securities predicted Tuesday. That’s down from the 14.4% growth forecast for 2015 and 28.6% growth in 2014. Smartphone sales are expected to rise to 1.61 billion units next year from 1.42 billion this year, Nomura said.
