Apple (AAPL) iPhone chip supplier Avago Technologies (AVGO) has reportedly approached three peers for acquisition talks, which boosted shares of all parties Thursday. Avago Technologies has targeted Xilinx (XLNX), Maxim Integrated Products (MXIM) and Renesas Electronics (RNECY), according to Reuters sources, who added that the chipmaker could spend more than $10 billion on a potential buyout as it seeks to diversify.
