Comcast and Verizon Communications (VZ) kick off Q2 earnings for communications companies with reports out before the market open Tuesday morning, with the nation’s No. 1 cable TV firm seen growing profit by 11% and Verizon’s EPS, boosted by wireless service, expected to rise 23%. Comcast (CMCSA) is expected to report profit of 72 cents per share, up 11% from the year-earlier period, with revenue up 4% to $16.98 billion. Analysts polled by Thomson Scalper1 News
