First Solar (FSLR) stock was up 17% in afternoon trading Wednesday as analysts trumpeted the solar panel maker’s “across the board” second-quarter beat. In Q2, First Solar nearly tripled Wall Street’s per-share earnings forecast and posted $896 million in revenue, up 65% from the year-earlier quarter and well ahead of analyst views of $752 million. The cloud-based software developer also raised its Q3 and full-year revenue guidance above views. Shares gapped up 19.5% in big volume, retaking their 50-day moving average and then some.
