Zebra Tech Thunders To New High On Q1 Earnings Beat

Zebra Technologies (ZBRA) stampeded past Wall Street’s Q1 estimates early Wednesday, as the maker of asset-tracking technologies continues to benefit from industry trends and its acquisition of Motorola Solution’s enterprise business. Zebra was up 10%, near 103, in early afternoon trading in the stock market today. Earlier, Zebra stock hit a record high of 106.92. Consumers have big appetite for Apple Car

A survey of consumers who own hybrid or electric vehicles found that more than three quarters would be likely to buy a car manufactured by Apple (AAPL). Market research and consulting firm Morpace polled more than 250 U.S. owners of hybrid or electric cars for its study. It asked them about their interest in a car that Apple is rumored to be developing for release by 2020. The results showed that 9% are “extremely likely” to buy the Apple car, with 25% “very likely” and 43% “somewhat likely” to purchase it. The rest are “not very likely” to purchase the Apple Car (13%) or “not at all likely” to buy it, Morpace said. Danaher Acquiring Pall, Splitting Off Industrial Biz

Electronic instrument giant Danaher (DHR) announced Wednesday that it’s buying Pall (PLL) — a maker of filtration and separation systems that, like Danaher, serves both industrial and life-science markets — for $13.8 billion. Danaher also said that it will split off its industrial business from its scientific business.
