Commercial Drone Sales Set To Soar

Sales of commercial-grade unmanned aerial vehicles, or drones, are set to soar over the next 10 years, driven by applications such as filmmaking, mapping, prospecting and disaster relief. Qualcomm (QCOM) late Wednesday announced it’s initiated a major corporate overhaul that includes big job cuts and the possible breakup of the wireless chipmaker, and it posted steep declines in earnings and sales for its fiscal Q3.
