Online Holiday Sales Fall Far Short Of Expectations
Despite some heady numbers on major shopping days such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and pretty much nothing but positive reports about e-commerce leader Amazon.com (AMZN), market tracker ComScore’s final figures show U.S. online holiday sales fell well short of expectations. What that might mean for some e-tailers will start being known as Q4 earnings are reported. But the research firm says U.S. online retail sales Nov. 1 through Dec. 31
