Mobile game consolidation forecast as King, Glu lead

In the hits-driven mobile video game business, King Digital Entertainment (KING) and Glu Mobile (GLUU) are leading the pack. Since September 2013, only eight games have launched that have spent at least three months among the top 20 grossing U.S. games for Apple’s (AAPL) iPhone. Half of those best-selling games have been from King or Glu, Cowen analyst Doug Creutz said in a note Wednesday. While Apple’s stock is busting ceilings, Apple’s products are poised to bust some doors this holiday shopping season. Apple (AAPL) stock hit an all-time high of 111.17 on the stock market today.
