Apple iPad Pro on the way, iOS 9 code indicates

Apple’s (AAPL) long-rumored jumbo-size iPad is looking more like the real deal. Software code for the upcoming iOS 9 operating system shows support for a larger on-screen iPad keyboard, according to a report this week by 9to5Mac. The iOS 9 code suggests that the so-called iPad Pro will have the same resolution as the iPad Air, 263 pixels per inch. But the iPad Pro would have a 12.9-inch screen vs. the 9.7-inch screen of the regular-size iPad. The iPad Pro would have nearly the same width resolution as two iPad Air 2 tablets running next to each other, 9to5Mac said. The new split-screen functionality announced for iOS 9 makes a lot of sense with the big-screen iPad.
