After several years of torrid growth, customers are hitting the brakes on tablet purchases. Market research firm IDC on Thursday forecast a dramatic slowdown in unit shipments for tablet computers this year. It now expects the total tablet market, including 2-in-1 devices, to grow 19.4%, compared with 51.6% growth in 2013. IDC reduced its tablet shipment forecast for 2014 by nearly 4% from its earlier projection to 260.9 million units worldwide. Scalper1 News
