In early trading on Wednesday, shares of Urban Outfitters ( URBN ) topped the list of the day’s best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 16.0%. Year to date, Urban Outfitters registers a 59.3% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Staples ( SPLS ), trading down 8.0%. Staples is lower by about 9.4% looking at the year to date performance. Two other components making moves today are Target Corp ( TGT ), trading down 7.3%, and CF Industries Holdings ( CF ), trading up 2.9% on the day.
