Pre-Market Primer: Jobless Claims Still Tame; Chinese Import Demand Grows

Stocks are higher this morning as jobless claims rose by less than expected and Chinese demand for imports surged. Initial claims for unemployment insurance rose by 5,000 last week to 333,000.
