Oracle Q2 Cloud Lifts As Earnings Beat Expectations

Oracle (ORCL) stock was up 1.7% in after-hours trading Wednesday, after the largest Silicon Valley-based software maker posted fiscal Q2 earnings that beat expectations. Revenue for period ended Nov. 30 fell 6% from the year-earlier quarter and just missed Wall Street estimates, but the company showed strong double-digit growth in its rising cloud software businesses.
