Notebook, Desktop PC Shipments Seen Falling In Q1

Shipments of notebooks and desktop PCs looked headed for a precipitous decline this quarter, says a report released Friday. In Q1, notebook shipments from original design manufacturers are expected to fall 6% from the year-earlier period, while motherboard shipments will likely decline 9%, following a weaker-than-expected February, says the report, from investment bank BMO Capital Markets.
