Nintendo leans heavily on first-party games at E3

Nintendo stuck close to its knitting with the games it unveiled at E3. At a fan event streamed online Tuesday, the company showcased a host of first-party game titles for its Wii U console and 3DS handheld. They included new “Super Smash Bros.” and “Legend of Zelda” games, as well as a Yoshi game set in a world made of yarn. Nintendo’s (NTDOY) Wii U console has gotten off to a slow start in part because of a dearth of compelling games.
