Among the 197 industry groups tracked by IBD, many retail groups are ranked in the bottom half of the rankings. On Thursday, the Retail/Wholesale Jewelry group was one of those with an a not-so-hot ranking, but it has made a big push higher in recent weeks. The group has climbed to No. 84 from No. 148 four weeks ago, according to William O’Neil + Co. data. Retailers have not had much in the way of good news recently.
