Flexing the power of its Watson computer and expanding its cloud and data analytics strength, IBM (IBM) will acquire several properties of Weather Co. Paying a reported $2 billion, IBM will acquire Weather.com, Weather Underground, mobile and cloud-based properties and other assets that will be integrated into the Watson cloud platform.
