VMWare (VMW) announced a tie-up with Google Thursday that designed to help both companies step up competition against Amazon and others in cloud-computing services. Cloud technology provider VMware said it’s inked an expanded agreement with Google (GOOGL) to offer greater public-cloud services access to enterprise clients via its VMware vCloud Air cloud platform product.
