Finisar (FNSR) forecast current-quarter earnings and revenue ahead of views after reporting in-line fiscal Q3 earnings late Thursday amid speculation over consolidation in the fiber-optics supplier market. Finisar could acquire the Communications and Commercial Optical (CCOP) business of JDS Uniphase (JDSU), analysts say.
