Facebook Enters Virtual Reality; Will Acquire Oculus

Virtual reality took a concrete step forward late Tuesday when Facebook (FB) announced an agreement to acquire virtual reality headset maker Oculus VR for as much as nearly $2.3 billion. The terms include $400 million in cash and 23.1 million Facebook shares, or about $1.6 billion based on the stock’s average closing price in the 20 days ended March 21, Facebook said in a press release.
