Equinix (EQIX) said on Tuesday that it has agreed to buy Tokyo-based Bit-isle for $280 million, doubling its data center operations in Japan following its recent, bigger acquisition of Europe-based Telecity Group. Even before the Telecity and Bit-isle deals, Equinix was getting 44% of revenue from Europe and Asia-Pacific, says Evercore ISI. About 26% of revenue comes from Europe and 18% from Asia-Pacific.
