EBay (EBAY) said Thursday that it’s completed its $800 million cash acquisition of smartphone and tablet payment app specialist Braintree. The deal to acquire the Chicago-based company was announced on Sept. 26. EBay says Braintree will now operate as a separate service within its PayPal unit.
