Freescale Semiconductor holds a comfortable lead in the communications processor market, but it’s being outpaced by rivals such as Cavium and Avago Technologies, research firm IDC reported Tuesday. Freescale (FSL) took in 37.7% of worldwide communications processor revenue in 2013, IDC said.
