Baidu Builds Location-Based Tech In Indoor Maps Firm

Baidu (BIDU), China’s top online search provider, became the latest Internet leader there to strengthen its holdings in location-based technology, after the company said late Tuesday that it has agreed to make a $10 million investment in IndoorAtlas, which offers magnetic positioning technology for indoor locations. IndoorAtlas will sign an exclusive agreement for the Chinese market with Baidu, the companies said in a news release. IndoorAtlas Scalper1 News
