AT&T Takes On T-Mobile With Cricket Prepaid Brand

AT&T’s (T) wireless business is getting a lift from its Cricket prepaid brand as it expands distribution at retail stores. In Q3, AT&T added 466,000 Cricket and Go Phone prepaid customers, marking its best prepaid gains in nearly eight years. On the other hand, AT&T lost some 330,000 postpaid phone subscribers — the generally more lucrative customers who pay monthly — but the growth in prepaid could still give AT&T a new weapon vs. T-Mobile US Scalper1 News
