Apple (AAPL) is expected to update the software development kit for its Apple Watch next week at the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference. But it’s not expected to quantify smartwatch sales to date, leaving analysts to shoot in the dark. Apple’s WWDC runs June 8-12 in San Francisco. The Apple Watch SDK will allow developers to write native apps for the device and have access to its many sensors. Current Apple Watch apps don’t run on the watch itself, but instead run on a connected iPhone that projects app information to the wrist device. The switch to native apps should translate to faster, more capable watch apps. The first third-party native apps likely will be available this fall. Scalper1 News
