Apple stock hits record high on spring Apple Watch debut

Consumer electronics giant Apple (AAPL) reached another record-high stock price on Monday as the company narrowed the window of its Apple Watch launch to this spring. Apple stock climbed as high as 110.30 in intraday trading Monday, before ending the regular session at 109.40, up 1.3%. Apple has hit record highs in seven of the last nine trading days. The first of the new records occurred on Oct. 22, two days after reporting September-quarter that crushed estimates and guiding sales higher for the holiday quarter. On Monday, 9to5Mac reported that Apple plans to launch its new smartwatch-fitness band “in the spring,” quoting the transcript of a video message from Angela Ahrendts, Apple senior vice president of retail and online stores, to retail employees.
