An AT&T (T) purchase of satellite broadcaster DirecTV Group (DTV) won’t yield much strategic upside, analysts say, but a deal would boost AT&T’s free cash flow to support paying its dividend. AT&T is reported to be in advanced talks to buy DirecTV for around $50 billion. AT&T’s stock fell 1% in midday trading on Tuesday. DirecTV shares dipped a fraction to 86.73 — well short of AT&T’s purported offer speculated to be in a range of $95 to $100 per Scalper1 News
