Abbott Q1 Performance Slips, But EPS Tops Estimates

Abbott Laboratories’ (ABT) first-quarter revenue and earnings dipped, but earnings still topped analyst estimates, sending shares slightly higher Wednesday. The medical products giant reported a 2.4% fall in earnings to 41 cents per share. But this still topped the 36 cents per share analysts polled by Thomson Reuters were expecting.
