3D Systems (DDD) reported a smaller-than-expected second-quarter adjusted profit Thursday, an indication of the ongoing woes in the 3-D printer market. 3D Systems reported earnings per share minus items of 3 cents, well below the consensus estimate of 9 cents as polled by Thomson Reuters, and down from 16 cents a year ago. The full GAAP loss came to $13.7 million, or 12 cents per share, vs. a $2.1 million profit or 2-cent EPS a year earlier. Scalper1 News
