Akamai Technologies’ security ambitions might feed an appetite for acquisitions. So say analysts in the wake of Akamai (AKAM) closing its biggest security-related acquisition so far. Its $370 million, all-cash purchase of Prolexic, a specialist in protecting websites from cyberattacks, closed on Feb. 18.
