Salesforce.com continues to carve growth out of the cloud. The maker of software that enterprises access via the Internet cloud late Thursday posted fiscal Q2 earnings and sales that edged analyst expectations. Traditionally, IBD’s Computer Software-Medical group hasn’t been a land of giants. With the automation of doctors’ back offices being a fairly recent trend, the field has been a playland of startups, many of them having gone public within the last decade. But on Aug. 5, Cerner (CERN), already the largest player in the group, announced it would nearly double in size with the $1.3 billion acquisition of Siemens’ (SIEGY) health IT unit. Combined, the
