Washed-up actress turned reality TV starlet Lindsay Lohan must have seen the success that famous-for-being-famous socialite Kim Kardashian had with her video game and figured she had to have in on the action. Mobile game studio Space Inch on Thursday announced the release of “Lindsay Lohan’s The Price of Fame.” The game is described as a parody of celebrity culture and paparazzi. Players complete tasks to become famous, attracting fans and creating a persona, buying outfits, accessories, toys and pets. The game is available on the Apple (AAPL) App Store and Google (GOOGL) Play store, with versions for smartphones and tablets. The game is free to play, but offers in-app purchases.

Global No. 1 search firm Google (GOOGL) will close its Google News operation in Spain on Tuesday in response to a new law that starts in January that would boost the search firm’s costs. The legislation would require Google to pay publishers if its news service carried portions of their stories, Richard Gingras, the head of Google News, said in a blog post Thursday. “This new legislation requires every Spanish publication to charge services like
