Baidu Wallet Gaining Ground On Alibaba Alipay: Report

Alibaba Group (BABA)-owned Alipay and Tencent Holdings (TCEHY)-owned Tenpay dominate China’s online payment market, but Baidu ‘s (BIDU) Baidu Wallet is gaining ground, according to an analyst report Friday. Alipay is the leader, with about 600 million users, while Tenpay has 400 million users. But Baidu Wallet “is catching up quickly,” W.R. Hambrecht & Co. analyst Henry Guo wrote in the report. Baidu says Baidu Wallet added 10 million users in Q3
